Yeah I ended up mentioning 3 players when my goal was to keep it to one lol! But in reality I can name 5-6 players that I’m excited to see this year.
cheating on the format here, but in order:
- Dunn
- Gertrude
- Reece
- IMac
- Bond
- Blake
- Rohde
- Taine
- Minor
- ARob (if he plays this year)
- Dante
- Groves
No offense to any of the guys, I’m legitimately excited to see everyone play and especially the different lineups.
For me it’s Gertrude if I knew he would play at least 12-15 min per game from day 1. Among the guys that are a virtual lock to be in the rotation it’s Buchanan.
Rodhe, Gertrude, Buchanan
Gertrude for me, but I suspect it’ll be a while before I see him for more than a couple minutes at a time or during blow-outs, so I’m tempering my expectations.
Lots of great answers, but I’m going to keep it simple: A full season of a healthy Reece Beekman running the show, and we could be looking at an ACC POY.
Assuming we’ll be so good this season that every game is a blowout with under 5 minutes to play, I’m most excited to see how Desmond Roberts looks throwing down hammers in the green team offense.
TJ Power
He’s on the preseason watchlist for 1st Team All-bench…
Just make sure you’re watching going in and out of commercial breaks.
Gertrude, hands down. Dunn, Bond, Buchanan, Rhode all have me excited, and will be great to see how they gel and contribute.
But Gertrude is such a crazy athlete, I just can’t wait to see him on the floor.
TJ Power will be the MOP of Duke this year. Most (recruited) Over Player. Runaway winner until Kon gets the award next year.
I like and agree with everyone’s answers to this so far, but will add that I’m also excited to see what Minor brings, especially since as of now anyway he projects to be the starting center. His FT % is bad and he lacks range but he brings athleticism and toughness. Think he will be solid on D and a lob threat on O, also supposed to be a “bully in the paint.”
I’m looking forward to iMac - I think his jump this year is going to be amazing. He’s going to be special.
Definitely Gertrude but the more i hear about Rhode he’s pretty close
@Hoosthechamp Cake Day! Thanks for being here!
In terms of getting questions answered, I’m most interested in seeing Minor. Whether he’s solid or not will swing the team needle a lot.
But the player I’m most excited to see is McKneely.
I’m a bit late the party, but I am very excited to see Gertrude. @DFresh11 has provided high expectations, so can’t wait to see him exceed my expectations!
Thanks Jazz
CVille is gonna love Elijah in every way. Personally I am just happy for him
