I think all of us here understand that UVA basketball is Charlie Brown and top recruits are Lucy with the football. What anyone chooses to believe regarding a specific recruitment is up to them, but the pattern remains the pattern until it’s broken.

Friday afternoon procrastination: figured out Blue Cain’s HS (IMG) 3pt % in the 14 games where I could find box scores – which roughly seem to be the best teams they played. Basically their NIBC schedule, some tourneys, and the Geico Nationals. They played a few local teams, and tended to romp them, but I couldn’t find box scores. Here’s what I got:
- 20 / 41, for 48.8%
From two, per the NIBC website (imputing from the threes), in 12 regular season games, he was:
- 60 / 108, for 55.6%
That obviously seems like a good 3pt %, but it’s also sort of low shot attempts for someone shooting so well (less than 3 per game). He had 4 games where he shot zero or 1 shots from three. In his very last game, where they lost to AZ Compass, he was 0-1 from 3, and 1-3 from 2. And 6 Turnovers.
