2023 Late Recruiting Cycle

You’re absolutely right, but I prefer my wild speculation to be more juicy than a friend or family member.

JA stays on top of things .Loves UVA and always putting in a good word with recruits. HGN said he probably wouldn’t be interested but i would love to have him on the staff. ( After his pro career)

We should offer Josh Pastner an assistant coaching job. He DOES know how to recruit.

Not sure that’s still true. He could at Memphis, but that’s not exactly the squeakiest clean recruiting school, ya know? Never really put together great recruiting in the ACC.

Maybe he could close on Blue Cain;)

He was a good recruiter under Lute at Arizona, too.

Pretty good eye for talent at GT, with guys like Alvarado, Kelly, Okogie, Devoe, Wright, etc.

Time for Anthony Solomon to come home, though Brey has taught him well.

I don’t think Tony ever offered, but interesting…

That could be NC State. Visited there and they’ve struck out on all or most of (?) the guys they thought they’d land.

Plenty of PT available.

I mean yeah most likely will be NC State but let me dream

As a GT fan (and Hoo alum), nothing would make me happier on a purely personal (not basketball) level. Josh is one of the best, goofiest guys in the business.

As for basketball, I actually think recruiting was one of his challenges at GT, though. Some quality players came through. And he had some assistants (Eric Reveno, mostly) that coached up very raw bigs such as Ben Lammers + Moses Wright extremely well. But Josh’s GT teams were almost always incomplete and desperately thin in one area or another.

And as for his future, I’d expect him to re-unite with Cal at UK for a year or two before maybe going off to a mid-major. I think Josh could be very successful at that level.

Would be a hell of a guard rotation.

Bond and Dunn locking down the wing/forward spots and Jarin/Buchanan slotting at the 4/5.

Man oh man

Rohde/Blue Mckneely Bond Dunn Minor

Silas Dante Gertrude Stevenson Buchanan.

If Gertrude isnt ready maybe redshirt him? @DFresh11 where he at with his recovery process? Also wish him a happy birthday from LRA
