Did we ever figure out if teams have pay to play in the cbi?

I’d like to see a tourney with a pay to play scheme where the fees escalate each round. Maybe a team wins a couple games but drops out because their budget is tapped. But another saved $50k in their budget and springs for a spot in the semis to replace the team that dropped out due to financial constraints.

Igor with an offensive rating of 150 in 21 minutes in the championship game - 2nd best on team.
On the season had a defensive rating of 98.1 which was 1st among their rotation players.

Yep. $27.5K according to multiple sites. And this site states the winner gets $40K to be distributed as NIL money. $25K to the runner-up.
