I’m curious if anyone will transfer out (I hope not)… but I think if Reece and Kadin come back we have a huge ceiling next year. Both of those guys showed really impressive flashes throughout the year (despite some inconsistencies from both) and I’m hopeful to see them as 4th year Hoos.

I’m in the same spot. Today sucks bc our future roster would have been the same with a win. I think Tony has seen the writing on the wall with our current roster limitations- sucks bond and traudt were redshirted. Assuming bond and traudt are at least average players (and should be more), the team is stacked next year.

I think if today proved anything, it’s that we could really use another plus plus shooter at the 2/3. I’d take any of Blue Cain, Jackson Paveletzke, and/or Johnny O’Neil.

The shooting doesn’t necessarily need to come from a 2/3. Let traudt be that on offense and have dunn play the mamadi role.

Agree. Franklin can come back. But sort of thinking it’s best if he doesn’t. Beekman, Shedrick, Harris, and the ‘22 and ‘23 guys. Maybe throw in a transfer or 2, depending if Franklin is gone(1 if he’s back, 2 if he’s not).

As I’ve said in the other thread, I feel oddly peaceful. It was brutal in the moment. But I don’t feel about Gardner/Franklin the same way I felt about Huff or Hall or Brogdon. It’s just not the same even though I really appreciate what the transfers have done for us

Yeah but you preferably want shooting at 2-3 spots in your lineup at all times. If Traudt is playing at the 4/5 I don’t want him having no spacing due to limited shooting at our guard spots.

Things I would love to see next year:
- Reece consistently being the alpha on offense
- Dunn developing a bit more of an outside shot and ability to take 1-2 dribbles to attack a close out
- Traudt to hold his own defensively so we can ride with him on offense
- Kadin consistency on both ends, ability to pay refs to not call ridiculous fouls on him
- McKneely aggressive at all times. No shot is a bad shot for him.

I’m at peace because watching games this year (except for Monmouth and Clemson round two) was so stressful letting inferior teams come back in time after time, including today. Glad it’s over.
If we can keep our redshirts on the team, we really have a clean slate next year which is exciting

I won’t be upset if Franklin comes back, but I’d be ok if he didn’t if it meant more PT for McKneely, Bond, Gertrude, and/or a true shooting threat from the portal. And by true threat I mean someone who shoots in the low 40’s consistently from 3…not 4/6 one game, then 1/6 the next.

I would like Franklin to come back. He’s clearly talented and plays well in big games sometimes. He didn’t play great today but his long term deficiencies aren’t incredibly problematic

I’ve changed my tune on wanting a bouncy 4/5 transfer. Would be a need if Kadin leaves but Traudt Dunn and Shedrick is a good front court.
I’d rather us set our sights on a wing shooter. Let’s finally pair Reece with 2 legit shooting options. Concern is Tony can’t help his love for two point guards and we roll with way too much Harris and Beekman

Agree, but if he doesn’t he needs to be place by a solid 2 and D guy at least 6’5. Don’t want us trotting out Harris Reece and iMac 1-3
