Unless thereās been recent changes, a school can refuse to release a recruit. But it almost never happens anymore. App State tried holding up Davonte Graham (2014 class) and got absolutely creamed by the media for it. Eventually was forced into it.

If i remember correctly Caleb Love when he left UNC went to Michigan first and couldnāt get in. Worked out well for him but i bet Michigan was sick. Must be tough to get in there

He was in good shape with McCain leaving. None of the other departures would have affected him ā Blakes, Schutt, Stewart, Mitchell, Roach ā but Brea would.
I didnāt suggest it CANāT work, just questioned whether it is the best road to success. I think a good core supplemented with a few transfers is the best route. Just my opinion, but I would wager if we look at a statistically representative sample the all-in transfer strategy would likely fail on the average.
Alabama may be an outlier. And so may Arkansas. What happens on average? And what is the best overall strategy that is sustainable?
