LeBron doesn’t even know if it’s a real story or not.

Bronny has a chance to do the funniest thing imaginable:

On Christian Anderson Jr, I remember when he committed to Michigan many were claiming he was good but a little small. Watching him recently I was like “he’s not small at all”. Completely forgot that this kid essentially committed to Michigan pre-growth spurt (and that Juwan took his commitment when he was 5-6).

Up to 6 feet now and I think projected to grow more (think I read his dad is 6-6).

If not Perry, pls this kid as the young guard.

So weird that players notice how teams do in March…

https://virginia.rivals.com/news/five-thoughts-on-uva-s-roster-and-the-work-the-hoos-must-do

“But the biggest problem was the lack of threats to score from the perimeter. The overall 3-point shooting number wasn’t terrible, at 35.8 percent. But looking deeper, the lack of shooting caused more problems, and the shooting percentage doesn’t tell the story. UVa only took 32.6 percent of its shots from deep, which ranked 294th nationally. The Hoos couldn’t get quality 3s consistently, because a quality 3 had to be taken by two players, Isaac McKneely or Groves, and opponents knew it. So teams could cut off driving lanes, pack it in, and make an effort to guard McKneely and Groves hard on the 3-point line. And down the stretch, it worked for opponents. As a result, UVa struggled to score from anywhere on the floor.”

On the one hand, yes we need a broader set of guys who can be decent 3P shooters. Definitely.

On the other, there’s something deeper here where the root cause isn’t simply not enough 3 point threats. It was a more complex combinations of things: not working hard enough these two guys open (through other modes of offense and better screening), these two guys not having the right set of skills to get themselves open (how they’d come off screens; or passing up open looks to take a midrange), and the other guys not willing to take open looks even though they were good (Reece at the start of CSU game). Those things don’t resolve de facto if you add more shooters. It certainly helps, but only gets you so far.

This, this right here is why I’ve got my finger on the red panic button and why we need 3 incomings from the portal:

‘As our fearless board moderator David Spence said to me the other day, there aren’t a ton of examples of players making massive leaps year over year that hadn’t already demonstrated immense promise in the early stages of their career. That applies to a player like Guy or Ty Jerome, who had smaller roles early on but you could still see the upside and what was coming. McKneely’s freshman-to-sophomore leap was similar too. But outside of those examples, and a few more further back, players have gotten better in subsequent years but seem to be marginally better versions of their prior-years selves.’

The biggest problem is that we could have a long discussion about which of several factors was the biggest factor and nobody would have a clear winning argument.

OMG! My catchphrase is now a lyric to Wham! rap. I feel seen and also who has access to my Netflix history? :joy:

Harris really has to transfer we just can’t have him on next years team. Wasted roster spot, can’t bring in someone with actual upside, and worst yet, Tony won’t be able to not play him at least some minutes - probably 10+

That took a while. But nice catch

Really good player. Saw a lot of him last two seasons. Was A-10 rookie of year last year 22-23. Can shoot it too. Needs help on defense as GW was lets just say allergic to it.

Why wouldn’t Bronny just declare for the draft. Won’t dad just force the lakers to pick him in the 2nd round?

Edwards would be great. 2 years of eligibility, good size, played in a good conference, good rebounder. Just worry that a guy like this being our guard transfer addition means we roll with Dante Harris at point.

This got a doo doo emoji?!! Lol

I thought we all wanted Harris gone

Maximus Edwards is also a good athlete on top of a good 3pt shooter.

Looks like he was at Kansas State his freshman year and had to redshirt because of a preseasson injury. Transferred to GW when Bruce Weber left and rocked out as @USSoccer13 mentioned (A10 freshman of the year)

I’m taking the more optimistic opinion that they are willing to over-recruit Rohde.
