I heard all season that Morris was the perfect QB for Tonyâs system and now we want to go back to the wellâŚAssuming high confidence of eligibility, should be a no brainer to run back Morris.
Brandon Armstrong was awful in this offense after being one of the top statistical QBs in the country. Colandrea developed into the MWC Offensive Player of the year.
Not trying to stir up debate - we can point to a lot of reasons why they were not successful under Tony - but we donât adapt system to player, so Tony better go out and find someone with experience in his system.
I donât get the sense that Des and Tony are Xs and Os genius types who can just totally change schemes based on their personnel from season to season.
I imagine a reunion with Morris at Okie state is on the table, but there was a lot of speculation about him and Indiana super early in the year. A lot has changed since then though, so not sure if thatâs still in the cards.
So young and so good though so heâll have a bunch of options.
This would be a bit of a coup. He has a very legit OSU offer (offered in June, visited last month, they donât have any committed RBs in this class or last class, granted they are involved with some big fish). His rating is a bit lower than his offer list but I think thatâs exposure related as he lives in NYC.
Iâm not sure theyâre all that invested in being taken seriously as high school recruiters? Think weâre a live by the portal die by the portal team now.
