I think this is a great get for us with chndlers stuff being a 50/50. Let him and Daniel compete for QB1. I really think the Cole Greer kid will be good as well.

Morris had some great moments, is clearly a tough guy who gutted out some huge plays and wins. But, in my view he also had some pretty rough outings as well. Heās something of a gun slinger who throws some ill-advised passes into crowds. Iām all in favor of bringing in the best QB transfer we can find and let them compete and, if Morris wins the job, at least have a quality guy that can step in when heās hurt, and the way he plays heās going to get hurt.

The same Athletic article says Colandrea may transfer to GT, although he already said he plans to return to UNLV next season. Heās clearly a running threat, but Iām not sure he fits the Thorterback profile of Haynes King.

The Colandrea speculation is based on GT hiring UNLVās OC and the QB following him. With a new OC, we canāt expect GT will run the same offense next season.

Itās a Manny Navarro article. Heās the Miami/ACC writer, so doubtful he has Virginia sources, but he might hear things. He says this is his informed speculation, so take it with lots of grains of salt. Hereās the full blurb:

I like him or Jake Merklinger, a Tennessee transfer, as a replacement for Chandler Morris. Morris led the Cavaliers to the ACC Championship Game in 2025 but would need a medical waiver from the NCAA to play in 2026.

I see PFF has Taylor rated as its 10th highest RB, 160 overall which is in the late 4th, early 5th range. Iād guess even ranked 160 overall his position devaluation would put him more in the 6th or 7th round. But given where heās currently rated, a good showing in the bowl game would help his stock more than a bad game would hurt it. But I wonāt begrudge a guy for not playing to avoid a possible injury.
The combine measurements and testing will affect his draft stock the most though. Senior Bowl practices could move him up too.
