Back in the late 2010s / early 2020s when the Zags were a perennial Elite 8 / Final 4 contender, the very thing you are complaining about was HOTLY CONTESTED. That is, the odd polarized nature of the Zags schedule and how to compare it to a typical P5 teamās schedule. So back then you were not on an island. Or if you were on an island, it was like the island of Manhattan ā very crowded!
And now? What media is giving them the benefit of the doubt? Nobody seems to think theyāre a serious contender, certainly not post-Huff injury. What is it theyāre being given the benefit of the doubt about?
Other than Michigan, the Big10 is so overrated.

I watched the Wiscy Roh-dawgs for 5 minutes and Rohde had an end-of-clock three and 2 steals. Iād definitely take Hall over Rohde, but both players do a number of little things that donāt show up in the stats but contribute to winning.

Rohde sucks and wouldnāt provide any of the leadership Hall does. Also, Hall is a way better defender.

Agreed Hallās better. I think it would have been better to stop there.
Rohde takes a lotta shots on this board and many are well-deserved. But he always played hard for us, if not always well.
That we needed him to be better says more about the program at the time than it does about Rohde.

Night and day. Leadership not comparable.
It also donāt help Rohde that there were so many comps to Ty Jerome (or at least being a Jerome-type mismatch for opponents) on here before he ever stepped foot on Grounds.
There was no way Rohde could ever live up to that.

It would be great if Basketball could fix the nonsensical gather step Travel, as well as the offensive foul push off with the off arm that has become way too prevalent, and the referees have not adjudicated properly.

āNot comparableā? What inside info you got that flies in the face of everything his teammates said about him last year?
By all accounts (direct from multiple teammates in interviews), both guys seem like great teammates and play nice leadership roles. Iām not sure how you can make some sort of black and white assessment beyond that.

Hall is conventionally more attractive, can grow a moustache and although once had a bad haircut it was intentional and considered in style (conversely, Rohde just had bad haircut).
Both played at universities with very devout religious values. Although no confirmation that Rohde ever took communion, we know that Dallin served a mission in the rough streets of Fresno. Advantage Hall.
Rohde sweats a lot and wears t shirts under his jersey.
