Lmaooooo. You read that on here.
Capel is comically bad as a HC.
2 possessions IN A ROW with under 2 minutes left in the game, and Pitt lets over 20 seconds tick off the shot clock before fouling. That’s some “screw this, I’m getting my buyout money in March” level of floor coaching right there.
NET were 16. Think he’s talking about coaches poll or something
Most models have us top 20. We should get ranked this week, but worried not enough teams have fallen out in front of us. A lot of people gunning for Kentucky’s spot lol
I like having the number because I don’t have to make an extra click to see our score or our schedule or all the stuff you have to do to see non-top 25 teams.
I was 200+ posts behind on this thread and thought about an alternate scenario. The guys above (except Miles) coached by Sanchez vs this year’s team coached by Odom vs the small roster of alums in the NBA coached by Bennett.
Jerome, Murphy, Dunn, Hunter, Huff, Hauser and Gill. Adding Beekman and Guy would just make it unfair, so not them. Brogdon just retired. Is Key still playing in the GLeague?
Bennett coaching those 7 guys, college rules, 1 game and they slaughter any combination of the 30 other guys. But at what point in a 5 or 7 game series under either college or NBA rules would the 7 man alumni team get tired or Jerome/Hunter get hurt? I have no idea how good a basketball player 33 year old Gill is right now. This team could really use Brogdon as backcourt depth.
If every school fielded an NBA alumni team, that might be a top 10, top 15 team? Especially if you could include Beekman, Guy and Brogdon. Duke, Kentucky, Villanova, UConn, Kansas, Gonzaga, Arizona, USC, maybe UCLA, maybe Baylor, Michigan and Michigan State would have PG problems, UNC would have frontcourt issues, Florida would be really old, the all wing Arkansas lineup, the all injured FSU team, the all Centers Texas team. I’m not sure what other schools could even field a starting lineup.
The last few years I’ve picked 6 of the top 12 teams and put $10 on each to win the final. Haven’t lost yet. Payouts usually $90 - $200, so you still have a decent net.
I put bets down 1-2 weeks ago when you could kinda tell who was going to be top 12. I just looked at odds again and WOW. I think this historical precedent meant a lot of teams odds increased as of today. Wild.
