I do think that both things can be true- she could have been more proactive ensuring the Oak situation couldn’t have happened, and she did extremely well in getting this hire done and done quickly

It’s quite possible Carla could see the writing on the wall that Oak was going to entertain offers each offseason so probably makes sense to start thinking about potential replacements for when he finally decided to pull the trigger. I don’t think this happens as quickly as it did unless there was at minimum some prior knowledge of his interest in the job.
