How many former Duke players/commits have committed to UVA?

Texas 247 site also reporting it (may be source of those posts).

Nothing on Becker’s social media yet.

Looks like seven from the 2025 team:

Gracia, Johnson, Jackson, Murray, Harris, Zatkowski, Stammel.

Six from the 2025 class:

Yoder, Stroman, Holmes, Lucarelli, Paone, Huggins.

A good chance I’m missing someone.

Duke’s catcher is transferring to UNC.

Saw and shared this post as well on Twitter. Didn’t realize page only has 30 followers. Damn pay for verification model :joy:

I’m leaving it up until otherwise needing to take down…

I am guessing they took it from the Texas 247 reporter who is a legit source.

In one of the group chats I’m on in X, there’s a legit minor reporter in college baseball that is hearing the same.

College baseball insiders (over 4K followers) also shared the post, but have now taken it down.

That’s what I’m tracking.

Griffin Enis and Lamar Edwards are top 100 recruits too but they look to be sticking with Duke at the moment.

Duke lost a top 2026 commit out of Kentucky too.

I’m surprised that Will Oschell isn’t flipping over to us but I seem to recall his dad was a Duke guy. So that could be the tiebreaker.

Miss State 247 guy is saying he’s still feeling good but not great about their chances on Becker.

State fans in the group chat I’m in are saying Becker wasn’t a take and they didn’t like his defense anyway.

State fans are hilarious. I will enjoy watching Oak deal with that for a few years…

Any word on Tallon? I’d like to snag him from duke

Tallon not in the portal (at least yet). We realllyyyy need a LHP though. He or Proksch would be perfect.

I was wondering about the prospects you specifically mentioned. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them announce for portal at time of flip or shortly thereafter. There’s just not a lot of info available for baseball. However, you have to imagine that Pollard may start cherry-picking now due to the numbers. I’m kind of surprised most of our HS signees have remained committed. Considering his staff has access to both Duke’s and UVa’s former prospect lists, I would imagine (uncommitted HS and portal entries) they have plenty of options.

I really would like to get Proksch and retain Blanco. We do need more pitching, especially lefties. We seem a little deep on outfielders, assuming Pollard is retaining BOC’s HS signees and returning players.

Mississippi’s version of Gobblers, but with a natty, so maybe more obnoxious?

Proksch (to me anyways) feels like he may be a harder pull to get as opposed to his other options
If he’s leaving duke.

Muscara definitely ups the ante on Proksch.

He noticably entered without the DNC tag. And he’s from Texas originally, so you have to think that A&M, Texas, and maybe even TCU are real options.

Isn’t Oschell’s brother already at UVA and didn’t their bother Fran play in 2024 for Pollard? It seems we should have a strong connection.

Fran played for Pollard at Duke 2022-2024. He wasn’t very good in 2022 or 2024, but in 2023 he was lights out and one of the better releivers in college.

Recruiting coordinator/infield coach posted this around the same time we were discussing earlier…
