NDSU leads 4-3 after 6.
5-4 HOOS heading into the 9th. Tied it up in the 7th and Kyle Johnson just hit a go ahead solo HR to left in the 8th. Need three more outs.

I was sorry to see the exchange someone had with you on the Sabre yesterday. That was always one of the best boards on that site with very knowledgeable (and sometimes connected) posters providing great insights and discussion. It saddens me to see that kind of bs.
I thought you handled it well FWIW.
I logged off TheSabre (Edge and non-pay boards) as the last seconds were ticking down on March 16, 2018, and have never looked back. It was a cesspool then; I can’t imagine it’s improved. But I miss — and appreciated — the insights of JHoo, JoeHoo, Kris, Oraclehoo, WahooBrac, and RBH (when they had real info!), and a few others I’m forgetting because it’s been so long.

The baseball and lacrosse boards are the only ones I have spent time on since around that time. They have always had a good signal to noise ratio with serious posters (some former players among them). Totally agree about the revenue sport boards (the Edge is down to a handful of posters and Kris–a slow drip of content).
In it’s prime the Sabre was valuable particularly for folks outside the DMV.
Assuming WayoveraTed and Casey are still on the baseball board.
Way is, haven’t seen Casey post for a while. There are a couple other former players posting still but it’s not like it was in 2010’s.

To be honest I don’t think I handled myself the best in that discussion lol but I was a bit on edge with the whole favoritism thing already being thrown around after our first loss.
It is what it is, we both apologized and moved on. I continue to read the baseball board there because I know there’s still knowledgeable fans, like Adam or Karl or CMU.

TJUCavs (Womack/Oak) and VBHOO (Jim West?) are two other former players for sure.
Casey is definitely gone.
There are some parents lurking for sure.
Oak’s best friend was there but has departed (tmac).
In the last couple years, there have been a handful of others that definitely had a good connection to the program that you could not discern if they were former players / family members / etc.
I don’t know about now, but up until recently current players were aware and monitored the board. One even had some fun posting nonsense on it to get some kicks.

The in game chats are pretty bad over here too. I have put as many of the annoying folks as I can on ignore, but people that respond to them just sort of mess that up.
I like being on the boards during games because I like to hear what folks think about a call or a play that we ran or whatever. But for the last few weeks I’ve just created a text chat with my UVa friends…too much back and forth between a couple of vocal posters for my taste.

I remember Schwimmer posting occasionally back when Downward4 was still around. There was another guy from the Womack days besides WayoVeratted. There was also another guy from BOC era who used to post a lot–when my son was playing showcase ball he was coaching a Canes team in VA. I remember exchanging some messages with him but it’s been more than 10 years and I don’t remember his name (or username) anymore.
Was never sure if TimoniumHoo had played back in the West days?

It seems like some of the quality posters are not around–not sure if it is because it’s early, the coaching change or just aging out. I do know of a couple we have lost due to health or even passing away.
Used to be a really good in game chat. I’ll never forget staying online with a small cadre until the wee hours as we finished up our victory in Lake Elsinore.
