It’s Menlo Park, CA RHP Wes Peterson per Preston at The Sabre. He’s taking a gap year and expected to be a member of the 2027 class.
A source has told him there is a new transfer commit as well.

Hypothetically if this ruling holds then Didawick, Jaxel, and Colucci would all be granted another year.
I’m positive we’d find a spot for Harrison if he wanted to come back, and it’s highly likely he’d resume being our starting LFer, but that would make an already crowded OF even muddier. Main question would be where do you put Jordan Crosland who was almost certainly gonna start in left barring an unforeseen circumstance.
If I’m being brutally honest we don’t need Jaxel or Colucci pitching any more innings in a UVA uniform.

I did…most likely the first 2028 commit. August 1 was the first date staffs could (legally) speak to 2028 recruits and first opportunity for them to start committing to schools.

I’d imagine the uncertainty of the courts is what’s holding Harrison up. If he came back, he could make some more money and mess around in college again!

Looks like the mystery transfer is UNC SS Lee Sowers, judging by his IG bio and twitter replies.
5’10, 185 lbs. rising third year from Henrico, was the 123rd ranked HS prospect in the 2024 class on PG. Only got 29 AB’s in his two seasons at Carolina, he hit .241 with no extra base hits, 4 RBI, 6 BB and 10 K.
Seems like he’s viewed more as a 2nd baseman due to not great arm strength, which means he was stuck behind Gavin Gallaher the last two years. So I wouldn’t read too much into the lack of playing time. From a quick look into him he had a little bit of draft buzz coming out of HS, not much power but finds the barrel and has good speed. At the very least he’ll be more depth and competition on the MIF.
