Begrudgingly, Dook was sooooo much better than the rest of the ACC this year. Honestly surprised they lost to Clemson (and glad they did, we wouldnāt have heard the end of Dook going undefeated in conference play for years).
Them beating Louisville like this without Cooper Flagg and Maliq Brown is impressive.
Our team kinda sucked but i really think this roster plus warley (and bliss I guess) with Tony coaching would have maybe somewhat easily finished at least 3rd in the ACC. Whole conference outside of the top looks worse than the A10 games Iāve watched the year.
I could write a thesis on the reasons I hate this guy specifically, but I think Duke fansā recent desire to be accepted and respected is the saddest thing Iāve ever seen in my life.
Accept what you are! Dont bitch about it! You soft soft soft motherfuckers
If we take a look at KenPom, take out the best four ACC teams and the worst four A-10 teams, the remaining 14 ACC teamsā average rank is 96.9. The top 11 A-10 teamsā average rank is 101.8. And thatās taking out four A-10 teams ranked worse than 200.
So, no, the ACC still kicks the A-10ās ass top to bottom and everywhere in between.
Itās probably been talked about but I didnāt realize until seeing them at JPJ how big Kon is. Seeing him and watching him play itās easy to see why Tony wanted him so badlyā¦
Iāll chip in on this convo. Tony and Warley wouldāve helped this team, but I donāt think theyād have been great still⦠ACC being as down as it is, I think theyād have been roughly where UNC is. Maybe get a top 4 but squarely on the bubble.
Warley wouldāve helped at the point of attack defensively but I donāt think heās a better defender than say Reece or Ryan last year and that team still got diced up by good teams. On the other end his inclusion into the mix probably limits some of what we got from both Dai Dai and Rohde.
But Iād still be happy with having Tony lol so thereās that.
