I had picked the wrong night to go to bed early

I guess our season didn’t end when we lost to Butler. I remain a ball room truther on the effect of our performance there. Really nice performance last night. Bottle that up for 2 weeks and that’s a S16/E8 run!

Great not having to sweat thru an important game.

Announcers noted the large number of NBA scouts there, mainly to watch De Ridder. Doubt they were overly impressed with him, but imagine GrĂŒnloh caught their eye. Still think they will not consider him for another year (hate to be selfish, but I hope not)

I love Chance

Jacari was on fire. His 10 points came in about 7 minutes, I am guessing. Surprised he got so little run from there on. Wonder what goes on in a guy’s head who is having a monster night but only gets 14 minutes of play.

One thing that was very clear to me from last night’s game is that Duke miles doesn’t play for Texas which is why they lost

That steal into leading the breakaway into a no look pass for a GrĂŒnloh dunk was filthy

We’re 15th in the updated NET rankings

He does so many little things at such a high level, though he was rough from the field last night.. Needs to reign himself back in a bit at times though. He’ll be a real asset later in the year as his knee improves.

Per Torvik, we have the #7 offense in the country. Last time we were better (#2, 2019), we won the natty. Tony only ever sniffed this level one other time (#9, 2016), which was ever so close to a F4. Of course, both those teams’ defenses (#9 and #7) put this one (#56) to shame.

GrĂŒnloh #52 to San Antonio in the Athletic Mock NBA draft this morning. Vecenie is pretty good at this. No other Hoos listed.

Hoos moved from 36 to 15 in one day after their largest victory on the road vs an SEC team in Hoo history!!!

Yuk! Well, he can still opt out.

Seriously what the hell was that. I think they transcribed the actual announcers and then the AI read it back. Why not just use the original audio?

GrĂŒnloh down from 37 in Sam’s previous mock draft. He will be in the mid to late second round / free agent range, I think. Barring a big up or down swing

Love the NET rankings. Pretty much an infallible formula

Duke Miles doesn’t flush the toilet; he scares the shit out of it.

When Duke Miles was born, he drove his Mom back from the hospital.

The idea of having Chance, Lewis, TDR and GrĂŒnloh all return next year is pretty incredible.

Odds low, but that would still be a championship caliber returning core to fill in with the portal.

I think it’s going to be almost impossible to get TDR back. He’s not on any draft lists because he can’t be drafted. I just have to think he’s going to give it a go next year and sign in a place that is best for him.

Where a guy is picked in the 2nd round is really irrelevant. Is he an NBA contract guy, a 2 way guy, an Exhibit 10 guy or a straight GLeague guy? If he’s anything less than an NBA contract guy with guaranteed salary, he’d make more in college.
