šŸ€ Dream Recruits thread Class of 2025

5th year Reece/Aiden Mahaney/Freddie Dilione (since I think he would only be here a year or two after exploding with opportunity) at pg to ease in Bliss off the ankle surgery

Tyrell Ward
Ven Lubin
Tucker Anderson (a possible redshirt candidate/high ceiling + extra needed 3pt shooter in front court)

(with 5th year Reece I will also accept Jaemyn Brakefield, Cade Tyson, and eric dixon)

New jerseys
we embrace the orange color.
Blue Orange scrimmage streamed with $5 cost donated to Cavfutures.

Instead of secret scrimmages we hold two charity exhibitions with 50% to Cavfutures and 50% to charity

Capital one arena: vs Maryland (BehanStrong)

Richmond: vs VCU (UVA and VCU cancer centers/travel costs for cancer patients maybe)
We join that NIL invitational

Oh and no more hard-hedging. Program saved. For the next week I accept Bitcoin

Eric Dixon is an A+++ if that were to ever somehow happen

Yeah, I’d actually be thrilled for Dunn to go ahead and go and bring in Dixon. That’s a home run

Dunn and Dixon next to each other would be something tho. Dixon can stretch. Another year for BB to develop.

This is something that continually pops in my head.

Still high on Blake a lot and liked what he has given us as a true freshman. But still unsure if he will be ready and his back up Robinson will be just as raw.

That’s why my preference for a 4 is someone who can slide down to the 5 at times.

Yeah, I hear ya. I’m over Dunn’s complete, utter inability to score. The defense literally doesn’t even guard the guy.

See, I think I value continuity over an uncertain transfer in BB’s situation. I’m actually optimistic BB can be a solid contributor next year. He’s gonna get stronger, which will solve a lot of his issues, and if he really goes to work on developing some post moves and moves away from his tendency to try fallaway jumpers, he can be a force. Now, somehow if you can get an Eric Dixon, that’s one thing, but I feel like we’ve got so much evidence that bigs just don’t play well without years in system, that why take a risk when you seem to have guys with potential already on the team. I know you’re talking about a 4 who can play some 5 so not exactly addressing your point.

Yeah especially since if we have a 4 who can slide to the 5, who is going to play the 4? Cofie who isn’t ready (imo) or go small small with Leon?

Of course the answer, as to most things in life, is tucker anderson who will come here and shoot 29% from 3 while being too frail to defend inside.

At some point, you gotta actually let the 4-stars you recruit out of HS prove themselves. Getting into the habit of recruiting veteran transfers to ā€œbuy your young 4-stars time to developā€ is a death spiral to killing the homegrown pipeline development and scares off future 4-stars from coming.

Yeah. But then Tony would have to ā€˜sacrifice’ a season which he may be constitutionally incapable of?

JMO…

Don’t think it’s a sacrifice if the confidence and potential shine in acc play.

We’ll know the answer to that based on how he approaches the PG issue in the offseason.

Bring Igor home, Tony.

Ga Tech was the most blatant. They didn’t come out on him even when he had the ball in his hands.

This is peak transfer portal

Eric Dixon would get paid on the open market. I can’t imagine we’d be able to afford him.

He did look very continuous in that highlight tape

I mean it’s being said that UVA double its NIL…. I think UVA would be very competitive there on that front.

He’s an 80 percent free throw shooter
