I RA’ed Hereford my 3rd and 4th years. The joke/rumor was the original dorm architects also did prisons and got their designs mixed up. Felt like Shawshank up there sometimes.

That said, at the time at least, Runk was a superior dining hall to OHill.

Runk had athlete menus IIRC and was hands-down better in my time. Still not worth the haul for most on/near grounds.

Wonder what it’s like now with NIL. I imagine nutrition doesn’t look the same anymore.

Where Old Navy is now used to be a Super Fresh and before that was an A&P grocery.

So IIRC Harris Teeter did replace Roses and ran the other grocery stores off.

I thought it was a Farmer Jacks before Harris Teeter. It happened my second year i think.

There was a Safeway where that Old Navy was too… i think.

It’s possible there were a wave of grocery stores after the super fresh that slipped my mind - that sounds familiar.

Edit: yeah Harris teeter was definitely farmer jacks first.

I totally forgot about Farmer Jacks. I can’t recall what was in that spot before the Harris Teeter, despite the fact I know I spent countless hours in that area during the 90s. This whole conversations is making me realizing that I am old. I don’t like it. @DFresh11 shut this thread down.
