2025 is looking like
Dynamic scoring guard: Chance Mallory, Acaden Lewis, Jackson Keith
Wing Forward: Jacob Wilkins, London Jemison
and then maybe a wing guard: Jackson Keith, London Jemison
And if there is an open scholarship a project big: Will Garlock out of Wisconsin seems to be the lead candidate here. (Wisconsin mod also mentioned how he’s a possible redshirt candidate so it works out with us too).
Of course there will be new names next spring too when we miss on everyone. But at the same time this 2025 class is one the assistant coaches have been working for years now. Maybe this is one where they already identified the strong UVA targets and it gets wrapped early?

I’ve got the '25 needs at Small Guard (Lewis, Mallory), Combo Forward (Wilkins), and then a scoring guard/wing (Keith), with the scoring guard/wing largely depending on Kon. Those needs could also all get bumped up to the spring as a late '24 or transfer depending on attrition from the currently planned roster.

Wonder if the western conference expansion might open more doors for west coast, Texas recruits. The heightened chance to play close to home once or twice might increase appeal.

I was chatting with someone the other day on a call. I knew he was from Texas so I asked him where from. Turns out he went to SMU so I welcomed him and the Mustangs to the ACC. He said he was looking forward to playing the Hoos and we had a nice chat about football.
So, now I’m feeling ok about this.
