Big ragu dunked from the weak side to beat us in 2018 … and abdur Raakman is on Bilbao. Franz Wagner plays for the Magic. So it clearly means …

Divencinzo has 1 year left of eligibility. Returning to college hoops to play for Odom. The Pavillion apartments was too lucrative a deal to pass on

Oh great, another one our fans would misspell for years…..

Not to be a downer, but I’m hard pressed to remember a time when I was so disinterested in high school recruiting. Portal gunna portal, I guess.

I looked at the NBPA top 100 camp roster and was like “okay so I know like 5 names here and they are all kids with UVA offers”.

Used to be a time where I knew literally every play on that damn list following social media and what not.

If we are going off follows on social media (multiple staff follows, following the kid a week or two after his offer and his HS coaches) I think Blanco Gibson LucaFoster Adkins and Fred Smith Jr are the kids our staff is serious about on top of Jordan Smith Jr Latrell Allmond and Rippey Jr of course. Would imagine Cody Peck is important too given the staff’s first move was reaffirm his previous UVA offer

Who knows what tomorrow brings though

Whoops forgot Cole Cloer the north carolina kid that HGN reminded me exists.

Believe this was the last guy that we were publicly mentioned with that was uncommitted.

Looks like we will be at the 12 we have now + De Ridder + Desmond Roberts + Bennett/Odom’s son/random rec league baller to get to 15.

Will be interesting if either of them gets the spot

Miscounted, we have 13 now so De Ridder and Robert’s would get us to 15

No, it’s 14 with those two.

  1. Chance
  2. Hall
  3. White
  4. Gertrude
  5. Roberts
  6. Malik

247 put out their 2026 rankings

Jordan Smith Jr #2
Arfan Diane #15 (big man out of Iowa we offered)
Rippey Jr #17
Cameron Holmes #23 (DaRon Holmes brother. mentioned UVA along with Oregon and UNC as schools he wants to visit in fall)
Cole Cloer #24 (says he’s going to visit UVA for football season opener)
Junior County #27 (Utah kid with unfortunate name offered in first wave in spring)
Davion Adkins #32 (Texas forward recently offered)
Billy “Blanco” White #33
Luca Foster #37 (Philly wing with the instate schools and Marquette on him)
Latrell Allmond #42
Bo Ogden #50 (the kid whose dad is a Texas Assistant)
Trey Thompson #60 (the Tennessee forward who is probably going to Purdue or Tennessee)
Christian Gibson #65
Fred Smith Jr #77
Lucas Morillo #85
Cody Peck #86

Think that’s all our offers. Probably forgot one or two of them

There are a lot of intriguing kids in that 75-150 range now that I’m becoming more familiar with the class. Surprised Sam Funches dropped so much (one staff follows but no offer yet could be a hidden gem, Good sized big). Dreylan Creasy of Blue Ridge at 111 and Shane Pendegrass of Hargrave at 128. Darius Bivins the pg at 85.

The players that are elite are ELITE though. Like Jordan Smith Jr starts on this year’s team its wild.

A lot of kids who the pay off will come 2nd 3rd 4th year.

Which is why im hoping GrĂźnloh and de Ridder are multi year guys (would rather not have to start over in the front court again)

I sort of think they will be. That’s just a hunch though. The Euro to college adjustment is a real one. The style over there is so much different.

I watch a ton of UVA and BYU hoops. Egor Demin is as good as international players come when it comes to the college game. The physicality was a massive adjustment and it took him a bit to come into his own. He was a disaster against teams like Houston and Iowa State, just no teams like that in Europe lol.

I think that adjustment is obviously bigger for Grünloh than it is for De Ridder. But wouldn’t be surprised if we’re a tad disappointed in them from November-January and then they both start breaking out towards the end of the season.

To me, De Ridder looks like he will be comfortable banging. He plays with aggression and physicality already plus he is older.
