Watching this game had me thinking…
- Kihei
- Jay
- Sam
- Other
This would be better if it wasn’t anonymous.
Kihei all day
Kihei literally missed his last shot attempt. When Hauser doesnt hesitate and go straight up on shot he doesnt miss.
Just curious, whoever said other, who do you have in mind?
Trey is cool
Cool that the fans stayed, too…
I put Other. Realistically, it’s probably Sam but would love to see a set play to get Trey an open look.
Reading through this it’s crazy how down our fan base gets on Hauser. Reminds me of how negative everyone was about Dre during the national title year.
Where is a good place to check box scores for plus/minus and full stats?
One thing I have noticed past 2 or 3 games. The chemistry and feel between Jay and Kihei is really standing out. Pick n rolls etc they know where each other is and a lot of unspoken teamwork going on
I also think we should actively recruit Jose Alvarado for a grad transfer spot for his 12th season in the ACC even if it is just for practice

Agreed…I am sure you saw this from Zach’s Clemson postgame film work where Huff was initiating the offense from the perimeter…Huff was dropping dimes to Kihei on some of the cuts to the basket…I recall that Huff at times was passing to a spot on the floor and Kihei was jitterbugging to to the ball…catching and laying it up for buckets…the lob is open a lot for them too…
Jay The Florist best reverse alley oop dunker of all time? makes it look easy. It isnt
I’m curious to see how Alvarado and the other GaTech guards fare against Duke’s shaky young backcourt on Tuesday. Wright’s match up against Hurt will also be fun to watch. This could get Clemson ugly if GaTech doesn’t succumb to the post UVA game hangover that seems to afflict many teams who lose to us.
Alvarado has seen it all and not sure anyone doesnt get up for Duke and us etc. Agree. Could get real ugly. If GaTech had beaten us THEN maybe i could see a let down vs Duke
Hauser’s defense is god awful and people try to sugar coat it with “Oh he’s rebounding well”. He has made a lot of improvements and you can tell he’s more comfortable in the system defense but he is still god awful on defense either one on one or breakdowns. He doesn’t give us much when he isn’t shooting well. He needs to score 18-25 a night to be effective for us.
Yet our defense is worse when he’s on the bench. At least it was through the Clemson game. Doubt yesterday had enough possessions to change the season long numbers. And you can call it sugarcoating but the truth is our team rebounding is way worse when anyone else is at the 4. Sam is our only ‘big’ who gets after it on the defensive glass.
And all of that ignores how important Hauser is to the offense. Would you feel better if we lost 56-50 yesterday but you didn’t have to watch Hauser get blown by or miss a rotation a few times?
