It’s not like it’s luck though. They are getting fairly wide open looks. We’re going to have to challenge more for that to go down.
Told yall that gym is great for shooting
I think we can hold them to 41 in the second half, and win this game 86-85.
The biggest issues defensively are drop coverage on ball screens and not getting “skinny” fighting through screens. Granted, it’s harder to do now, because refs let screeners move a lot more than they used to. Switching the ball screens went a little bit better than drop coverage, I thought. Maybe they’ll stick with that in the second half.
Butler also got called for 1 foul in the last 9:30 of the half, which is absolute bullshit. Need that to even out some in the second half. Mallory gets fouled a lot, and Lewis got fouled on a wing three in front of Butler’s bench.
Side note: Mallory is also really good at selling contact when there isn’t a ton of it. He’s way better at it than anyone we’ve had in the last several years.
Final score prediction:
Virginia: 82
Butler: 76
100-98 Virginia (OT factored in)
Agreed, let’s do it and pray that it is more scheme related than defensive talent related! I love their effort man. They are just behind everywhere.
Wait is he actually at the game? Where did you see that?
Yeah, that one a the end wasn’t a bad call. He went up against 2 dudes and was fairly far away from the basket all things considered. Hard to get that call.
Butler fans have small samples
We are far more talented, they are just playing ‘more connected’ on both ends right now.
Would have preferred a set play for a 3 there rather than a Chance clear out.
We were fairly spoiled by Reece navigating screens for 4 years. He was the best.
No, guy with kid cheerleader kinda resembled him
Bizjack nailing his audition
Free throw disparity crazy
Mallory starting the 2nd half. Like it.
Today I learned you can baseball slide with the ball and it’s not a travel
What is up with this court lol
It’s a slip n slide out there
Moving screen with a trip also cool I guess
