I bag on Trae Young a lot. He is a very entertaining player, but his shot selection can be borderline atrocious. However, if you had to pick someone to shoot a half court shot with time expiring, he’s definitely your guy.
20 ast to 2 turnovers is nice too
Trae young stats in a Hoos in the NBA thread give me 2018 espn scroller vibes.
Maybe close between him and Steph and Pritchard
Reminds me of when Dame called series. But Dame’s was logo distance and he had more time, so Young’s was more impressive.
Poole as well
If anyone is looking for something to watch before the UVA game, at 7 (Eastern) is a huge matchup between #1 team in the East Cleaveland and #1 team in the West OKC. Both are on long winning streaks and should be a really good game.
Also obviously Ty will be playing, so there’s that too
Great call. Thank you
4th quarter Ty.
Ty having a nice run in the 4th quarter for the Cavs, helping them out to a 7 point lead.
Fun run there by Ty in the fourth
Cavs win, Ty finishes with 15 points on 6-7 shooting in 12 minutes of PT.
Dont forget his 2 steals and a cple ast too.
And as @Marktykobe would say, atleast 1 turnover and missed free throw.
Shaking my dang head
Irresistible force (Dre) vs immovable object (Dunn) isn’t going well so far… both have played 5 minutes, both have 0 points and 3 fouls.
Anyone got League Pass? Are they covering each other?
Looks like RD has 3 fouls in 5 minutes, so he’s not really playing… which @JBHoo just said. I’m a careful reader clearly
I have league pass and watched the 4th quarter. Saw them on the floor at the same time but didn’t see them guard each other.
Did see Dre and Grayson Allen get tied up and go for a jump ball. That was funny, and of course Dre won that one emphatically lol
No reason either guy would guard each other. Dunn’s on the Hawks top wing, so probably Johnson, maybe Young. Dre’s too valuable to waste on the 5th offensive threat, so the Hawks probably had Young on Dunn.
Like when the Sixers play the Hornets, the Martin twins never guard each other. You want those guys guarding actual offensive threats, not guys whose jobs are solely to hit open 3s.
