Played poorly in preseason. Knicks fans said he looked slow as well.
In the last preseason, he played with all of the other end of the bench reserves whereas the starters and key bench guys all sat out.
Shams said he was guaranteed a spot and wasnāt cut though. Maybe heās just tired and realized itās time to hang it up.

I think it finally dawned on him that heās made 132 million dollars in his career, so if heās putting in all this effort and guys are still blowing by him and making him look bad and his body doesnāt feel great after the games and he has to spend more time recovering, whyās he trying to hang on as a 15th man on the team? The NBA minimum 3 mil salary would be about 2% of what he made the past 9 years.
Also why itās important for guys to get started in the NBA as early as they can. If a guyās expiration date is 32, getting started at 19 instead of 23 is 4 extra prime earning years, maybe 100 million more.
