Don’t follow the NBA too closely, but surprised these camp deals / exhibit 10 deals are being signed so far into camp. Great for Kihei, though! I guess that answers why we hadn’t seen any overseas news.

For some guys - it basically means a G League spot with the NBA team affiliate who they sign the Exhibit 10 with,
Players who sign Exhibit 10 contracts are also eligible for a bonus if they play for the NBA team’s G League affiliate after being waived. For the 2023-24 season, that bonus can range from $5,000 to $75,000 . (The maximum amount will increase by the same percentage as the salary cap does for future years.

And bottom line- make that money! I doubt Cybrogs believes that when he retires from the NBA (before 40) that life will be over. On the contrary he probably has additional projects he wants to do- in addition to Water Boys so this is just a legacy cash grab and then he will do more *important things after retirement.

I actually think Portland can be very competitive with the current roster, especially if Scoot isn’t wildly inefficient. He’s thought of as one the best guard rookie prospects in a long time.
