Hoos vs Canes Game thread, 1530 EDT, ACCN

That was what made it so surprising they knelt on it at the end of regulation. Get to the 50, that guy might’ve made it from there.

Did we break UNC? GT game will be interesting next week

Am I missing something or does VT now have a pretty clear path to the ACC title game? They’ve beaten teams with a combined 2 conference wins but so much parity outside lf FSU and an easy remaining schedule makes it feasible.

Kinda wild how awful the conference is this year

I don’t give them much of a shot of winning @Louisville next week. Game against us won’t be a walkover either.

Can’t they lose next week and still win the coastal pretty realistically

No divisions anymore. But the schedule is favorable for them. Still think they will lose at Louisville. A loss to NC State or to us is possible. The ACC has to be shuddering at the prospect of a FSU VT title game though. I mean it would be well attended but getting rid of the divisions was supposed to get rid of the unranked team in the title game problem.

Oh yeah forgot they got rid of divisions. Louisville will make it over them then

The ACC went from the possibility of having 3 undefeated teams to choose from for the championship game to the prospect of an 8-4 VT being in the championship game in 2 weeks. Brutal.

This conference can get out of it’s own way for anything. It’s like the football gods see the ACC as a running punch line

Yeah the ACC definitely seems cursed. I don’t think the league is that bad this year. We have seen some solid out of conference wins, but still the teams are not consistent (the character that separates good from very good), and so we have chaos in the standings.

Agree it’s the inconsistency throughout the conference. Pitt handles UofL the loses to wake and blown out by ND. UofL beats ND easily then loses to Pitt. Duke falls apart with a qb injury. The league has no depth.

That said i agree with your point I think this may be the best overall and competitive I can remember. FSU is pulling away but it’s not quite 2017 Clemson vibes of dominance

UNC was so overrated. They almost lost to a bad App State team in Week 2.

Their wins against South Carolina and Miami also lost a lot of their early shine.
