He’s also giving up a way better education but obviously that has nothing to do with the calculus. If a normal student missed his GF back home at bumf***k state, he’s probably not going to sacrifice his uva degree for it
he doesn’t care about education. The dude is going to the league. People underrating how good he is to make themselves feel better. We’ll all see game one for creighton
Yeah, I’m not bitter about it.
By the way, I hope the Creighton volleyball team sucks next year.
The quality of education angle is a tired trope. Ambitious students can get a great education at universities like Creighton.
Status and quality are imperfectly correlated: https://www.annualreviews.org/doi/abs/10.1146/annurev-soc-071811-145503
UVA is higher-status than Creighton, and there are perks that come with status. But don’t assume that the education is necessarily higher-quality.
Unless there are some medical issues in play that we don’t know about this was pretty stupid decision. She could have transferred to UVA. His career path as basketball player is/was more promising. Does he think he can stay close to home for his pro career? Shows a softness that argues against him ever having a lot of success.
I’m just talking about a non student athlete. Some kid from Nebraska getting into UVa from out a state way harder than getting into Creighton. That kid is going to think long and hard about giving all that up if he misses home. I’m just saying that everything way easier and taken care of for IT, but he’s a stud ball player so he’s earned it
the sooner people understand that homesickness is just the public line that he’s saying to be diplomatic, the sooner their heads will be removed from the sand. There were issues between Isaac and staff with the RS decision
lol… um, yea his lady couldn’t have came into play at all…
yeah, CTB didn’t want it and Traudt did.
If was serious about the league he should have stayed. His only chances of having a pro career hinge on not being a disaster in defense and TB was the best coach for that.
And that’s prob what UVA sold him on last year when he committed, but he wasn’t willing to stick with the plan.

Elaborate? First I’ve heard of it. Other than Tony didn’t want it
Good lord dude. There’s a mountain of evidence, including intel from this very site, that he has been home sick. But nah you got it all figured out!
I dont think Traudt is a guaranteed NBA player. I do think he is good though and has a strong chance to be one. But I also dont think Creighton was a smart development move; they only have one player in the NBA and it’s coach’s son.
And Creighton may return everyone with no one being a surefire NBA thing and their strong NIL, there might not be an opportunity to play right away.
I love Cuts but am cracking up at you posting a blog with his thoughts as your “source”. We can debate the impact of the RS on his decision all day but word was out that he has been homesick for a long time. It’s not a “company line” - it’s fact. Dude has his girlfriend tagged in his instagram profile with a heart next to it… zero other kids I’ve seen do that lol. He definitely wants to be closer to her.
Would playing sparingly this year have changed his decision? Maybe…but he also was staring a potential starting spot in the face and still opted to transfer, so I’m not so sure
Yes your “mountain” is HGN said one word he was “homesick.” That’s it, nothing more to see here! Nothing else could have possibly played into it.
One question on Traudt: was distance brought up as a potential factor during his recruitment? Just wondering if there is a lesson to take from this on the trail. Like ‘don’t waste time on dudes more than 300 miles away who seem hesitant about leaving home’
I regret getting into this discussion. You seem to have your mind made up that he isn’t homesick and is transferring because he hates Tony. I won’t change your mind
