A couple chapters into The Will of the Many by James Islington. Good so far, havenāt really gotten into the meat of the āmagic academyā conceit yet.
It wasnāt great, but Sunlit Man was a sci-fi western with Cosmere connections, which was fine by me. I liked it as much or more than the other books he wrote during the pandemic. I think maybe I liked Yumi pretty well too, but none of them made a big impression.
Being totally honest I want compelled by pretty much anything in Sunlit. Characters, conflict, setting all fell flat for me, but I did like the wider Cosmere lore and implications.
And no, Iāve been waiting on Wind and Truth. Going back through Hobbit and LOTR with some friends before starting WaT. Iāve heard mixed reviews so far, the series has changed a LOT since way of Kings
Iām currently reading a series that Iām kind of obsessed with called Choose Your Own Adventure. Iām on volume 27: Murder in Jenkins Hollow, but Iām stuck. Should I go up the hill to warn the others or hitch a ride back to the gas station to call the police?
