I think on defense itās a matchup issue. We have a bunch of 6ā5 guys and they typically have a couple of smaller, quicker players that give us fit (I realize OāNeill is the opposite). Why the offense struggles so much more against Dukeās D than other comparable programs I canāt explain. Probably just a mental hurdle at this point
Itās Duke. Doesnāt matter what our team is like, they beat us. They just said Danowski is 23-2 vs. us.
18-12 Dook final. Hoos had more shots on goal than Dook but 8 less saves. Canāt have that.

I mean, sure but itās not like itās some paranormal thing. Thereās some combination of personnel, schemes, in game management, and psychology that is causing this to continue
But itās not because of 6ā5 defensemen, as you suggested.
Danowski has crushed Tiffany. He crushed Starsia, too.
Players are different. Styles are different. The only constant ā Danowski kicking our asses.
Ugh, tough to watch. Closed it a few times but never got to less than 2 goal deficit after that Duke run. Never got any clarity on pulling Nunes. Hope it wasnt injury, but strange to pull after one quarter.
So whatās your point? That it is some sort of supernatural phenomenon? We are just cursed to always lose to Duke? If not, why do you think it continues to happen?
I do think itās a mental issue at this point, similar to VT in football. They havenāt been more talented than us and Danowski isnāt a better coach than Tiffany. But for some reason they continue to dominate us.

Duke might have broken Nunes last year. Syracuse is eating him alive this week, too, but heās played better this half.
(He allowed 15 consecutive goals without a save in the Duke and Cuse games.)
Is there a head honcho at ESPN whose brain didnāt fully form during adolensce and therefore they think we need to do the damn split screen during ingame interviews? Do they fail to realize that we can still hear them even if we cant see them?
Like those AP Psych videos they would show of babies freaking out when the person is out of their view and therefore they think that person ceases to exist

Absolutely choked that one away.
Nunes made some saves down the stretch but kept giving up rebounds.
Defense is horrendous. Iām not a Tiffany fan as a coach. Unbelievable guy and recruiter.
