🄳 LRA Event Information: Virginia vs Notre Dame Game, 25 January 2025

I feel the same way about it. The subtleness of Seinfeld and the interactions of the characters always get me.

@zh00s I’m a walking contradiction. Parks and Rec is well done the Office is just silly and not clever to me.

Might have to make it to the ND game pre-game to persuade you on The Office (seasons 1 - 5 only).

Show up buy me a beer and we can watch an episode on my phone. I’ll give it a fair shake.

Compared to parks and rec, the office is…
This Is The Worst GIF by Parks and Recreation

Once parks and rec got rid of the very unfunny love interest guy for Amy Poehler, the show took off. Add rob Lowe and Adam Scott and there wasn’t a weak link in the bunch.

Ok Jay convinced me, I’ll try Seinfeld next. We’re currently on Landman. Just started, not buying the hype yet…

I’m Dry Januarying - halfway through and the longest I’ve gone without drinking since September of my 1st Year on Grounds. That was a couple decades ago.

No one tells you on the tour that when you enroll that in addition to the degree you also come away with a drinking problem. Costs of an education I guess.

Won’t be able to make it but enjoy the beeras!

It is weird when you go dry for couple weeks. Like all the synapses and shit start firing that you forgot about and the brain gets all excited and works

Enjoy?

I tried watching Landman. Love Billy Bob. Just couldn’t get into it. Dull story and the whole daughter sub plot was cringy. I was out by episode 2.

Recently watched a few Cheers episodes. Loved it when I was a kid, but it didn’t age well. Still has iconic characters (Norm) and definitely some all time scenes like the ā€œnever in my kitchenā€ Jeopardy episode.

You’re not off on Landman. The underage daughter saying the stuff she said was sickening. I did keep watching but did the ff through the daughter and the son stuff, both were inane. Billy Bob getting almost set on fire was pretty cool. I also have an issue that the oil patch is the most dangerous job in the world. Rather that than coal mining, at least your above ground when you get blown up in the patch.

Man yall are killing Landman I really wanted to watch that.

Im currently reqatching Justified. Liking it way more the 2nd time around and I thought kt was good the first time.

You nailed my feelings on Cheers wife and I tried rewatching a while back and it doesn’t work. We did rewatch Frasier and it’s pretty good.

I liked about 50% of Landman. Sheridan writes some of his stuff like he’s a 14 yr old boy who just hit puberty and found his dad’s old Playboys in the closet.

Feel the same about Landman. Enjoyed it all in all, mostly because of the real Coach Taylor.

Finished Landman Sunday and overall liked it. Was cringey at times and a little slow at others, but Billy Bob made the show good imo

I don’t know exactly how dangerous it is, but my company was in that biz (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, the Gulf of Mexico) for 20 years, and there was a reason the roughnecks were making more money than most of our middle management.
