@DFresh11 @crossedsabres8 (@AdventiveQuasar for liking the post) Moving this outside the TJ Power chat…

See below on how soccer team stats look just on passing… they do breakdown by player, but the interesting ones here are in the “Expected” area…

Clearly assists in soccer are more rare than basketball, but

Ast - This one is self explanatory
xAG, xA, A-xAG - These is one they should use in basketball… expected assisted goals & expected assists… passes that should be assists even if the shooter flubs the shot. The value can be lower than actual assists because some passes become assists on crazy goals that are outside standard deviation. There is the +/- as well which shows that teams are converting their good passes effectively. UVa’s +/- in this category would be extemely negative.
KP - Key Passes that lead directly to a shot
1/3 - Passes into the attacking third (I’d assume this one would be passes into the paint or Open 3 points shooter for basketball)
PPA CrsPA - Passes into the penalty area (maybe the same for above… I know apples and oranges in soccer and basketball passing)
PrgP - Progressive passes… passes that move your team forward… this one is convoluted… so like passes within 6 passes that move the ball 10 yards ahead or in teh penalty box… I’d equate this to the offensive efficiency stat… you can be propped up if you are on a better team or in a specific position.
