Like if you subbed in âpower conference coachâ for âcardinalâ doesnât this kinda sound like how reporters describe a guy who has grinded out seasons at difficult jobs?
Although he became a cardinal only in 2023, his experience in one of the worldâs most heated conflict zones helped him rise to prominence.
And this is the long-time assistant who has been waiting in the wings for a while for his big job:
Cardinal Tagle was widely considered one of the most promising candidates in the 2013 conclave but seemed too young for the job at the time.
This is the guy whoâs good at donor relations, but maybe canât coach?

The fat side is more rounded (assuming properly trimmed) so beading moisture drains off easily. Otherwise you can get ponding which can create soggy spots.
To be clear, itâs not a deal breaker either way. This is one of those âart as much as scienceâ things.
FWIW, Iâm looking right at Aaron Franklinâs (pitmaster of legendary Texas BBQ joint Franklin BBQ) book and it says fat side up.
