Was it Kauffman-Renn who we preferred over Gregg? I can’t remember. But do remember him wanting an offer to Virginia and us not providing it.
(I thought he was undersized for the four at the time. And recall that Tu Gard had strong aversions to his play).
Kaufman was the guy we w ere all in on. That being said it could be that he was just wanting a UVA offer for the offer and then commits to Gonzaga anyways.
I remember Washington slowplaying Gregg/their forum saying no to offering him. Worked out for Gregg anyways

Yeah he was Oregon. Remember watching him v Bittle in high school (Clackmas I think)
Bittle was a top 25 guy. Kinda Chet like. He’s still at Oregon but has had a slow start and looks like was out most of this year due to injury and mystery illness.

Anton Watson on Gonzaga is what I dreamed David Punch woulda been for UVA. Gonzaga is wing army done right, two playmaking guards and 3 wing forwards who can switch.
A high level glue guy (Watson), A floor space who can play the three (greg) and the bucket getter (Ike).

I go out for a while and come back lost. What the heck happened to Kansas? That was a great back and forth game, then I see they lost by 20. Now UNC in early trouble.

Izzo already played 10 players this half and MsU been first to the ball so far
UNC was shell shocked that they were being called for fouls. But not confident MSU can keep scoring at this pace
