UConn is a machine. Up 35-14 with time still to go in the first half. No one is stopping them.

Did you watch Baylor opening game? They came in pretty hot. 2 teams looked awful against one common opponent…. But no credit to that opponent?

I like making bold predictions… UConn does not repeat.

Repeating is so hard in this sport… Best team rarely wins the national title

Okay, now the announcers in the UConn game are pointing out the blemish on the ACC is Virginia in the play in game. Fact. But any opportunity; it is getting very old.

Guess we have to live with it for our atrocious play. Hope we don’t have to go through this next year too.

I am not trying to be bold. It’s just true. I hate UConn.

Out of curiosity, who beats them?

Who beats them?

It’s 40-18 at the half.

Ok but they’re also playing a severely outmatched opponent… just looking at matchups:

Terrence Shannon is playing the best basketball in the country right now, personal opinions of him aside.

ISU (I don’t believe in them) but they did just manhandle Houston.

Final 4 any handful of teams are worthy opponents: UNC, Arizona, Houston, Purdue.

Long ways to go yet.

BTW, there are 2 Big 12 teams remaining. How many bids did they get? Something like 9?

Agreed.

I think if SDSU wins out they can give them a tough game. Ledee will be the best player on the floor.

ISU and Illinois certainly can.

Northwestern beat Purdue twice and have one of the best guards in the country; this is a good team they are dismantling…

Your points are reasonable, except the first. But UConn repeats. Book it!

UConn beat SDSU easily in the Title game last year. I am an SDSU alum (undergraduate) so I love them…but there is absolutely no way Ledee is the best player on the court against UConn.

I am very skeptical about Illinois considering Northwestern is a similar team from the same conference.

Ioway State, maybe, if they can score.

I just don’t see it, but I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

But B… hasn’t your thing for the last 96 hours been teams that score… you know… 18 in a half should be ridiculed for being just as bad as UVA? But now they’re a good team?

I see them as more like Pitt. Extremely mercurial when they’re hitting 3’s they can hang with anyone but when they aren’t it can get ugly quick.

All that to say I don’t necessarily disagree with your general angst of perception. It is extremely annoying.

Actually, I haven’t been saying teams that have a score similar to ours should be lumped in with us…I have made it clear the difference is that it was systemic with us.

Northwestern just scored 18 points because UConn is a juggernaut, and they ran into it.

I hope I am wrong because I despise UConn, but I just don’t see anyone beating them.

Even if they were without Clingan, I have no idea how we apparently held our own with UConn in a preseason scrimmage.

I know a lot happens over the course of the season but they would beat us by 40 if we played today.

Maybe the Hoos used all their shot making magic durinfthe scrimmage?

It really is wild to go back and look at the first couple box scores of the season as compared to where we finished… we really may have actually used it all up.

I really have never seen anything like it. It was like Wisconsin rattled us so bad that anytime we faced adversity all year we just couldn’t recover.

Actually I forgot that Desmond Roberts hadn’t been redshirted yet. That’s probably why.

You’re not wrong. Everything peaked with the Syracuse game. And then the offense packed it in for the rest of the yr.
