LMU was 21-40 from 3 in that game. Ahead of their time!!!

Also LMU averaged 122 PPG that season. They were just absurd.

That style won’t work long-term in the B12 unless they have the talent and athleticism. They’ll never have enough to do it consistently vs. KU and Baylor and others.

Works for Bama because they have it. Worked for Louisville (Pitino) in the Big East because they had it. Worked for Kentucky (Pitino) and Florida (Donovan) in the SEC because they had it.

Yea we can’t predict the future but I’m VERY confident that Young will do just fine at BYU. They are loaded NIL wise, Young has NBA pedigree and a excellent NBA style offensive system, and now he actually has on-court results to recruit to. The “works for x… because they have money” argument makes sense now bc they haven’t done it.

Was anyone arguing that Alabama could out-resource/out-talent other blue-blood programs before they hired Oats? No. It’s always “impossible” for something to happen until it happens.

Oats has nothing to do with byu, and nobody would’ve argued “out-resourcing” was a thing before NIL. “Resources” do have something to do with byu.

Byu is going to be pretty good because of resources.

Edit: me saying your argument is weak is not the same as me saying you are wrong.
