Utah St fans still giving credit for Odom for recruiting Odom and Martinez.
Also itâs wild how the consensus amongst their fans (twitter, their forums) is that Odom and Calhoun are leagues above Sprinkle/Sprinkle is their least favorite coach even though he was the one who won a game in the tournament (they give credit to Osobor balling)
Interesting. Not sold on the methodology though, figuring out who didnât use a search firm seems hard; I donât think itâs sufficient to say that if you canât find it advertised on a firmâs website or mentioned in a story then they didnât use a search firm.
You either have reading comprehension problems, or you are just really good at taking things out of context. Which the latter is fairly easy to do on a message board.
Itâs the collection of talent, and if UVA feels it is good enough to represent the program going forward. If there is a coaching change, plan on complete roster turnover. Thatâs just the nature of the beast in todayâs game.
Ah, the resort to ad hominem. See my second bullet point.
The context that I had in reading your posts was to read all of them, and the responses to them, at one sitting. I found your argumentation at once obtuse and at the same time, protean, shifting seamlessly from arguing one thing and then the opposite to justify your position. Debating with you, I find pointless as your position is, essentially, âEverything proves my point, and those who donât understand that are stupid,â or in my case, have reading comprehension problems. Guess that UVA education didnât take.
Given all of this, I wouldnât have bothered responding to your posts, except for your blithe dismissal of guys here who have worn the uniform, bleed blue and orange, and have worked and continue to work to build this forum for all of the rest of us. They donât need me to defend them, but I certainly wished let them and everyone else here know how much I appreciate them.
That is an interesting point. Iâm of the view that anything short of an ACC tournament win and a decent run in the NCAA tourney should preclude Ron from the job. But I also realize that the ultimate decision will be based on how Ron stacks up against whichever other candidates are willing to take the job. My expectation is that there will be better candidates available.
That being said, I donât see another P5 program hiring Ron as HC. But would he prefer to go back to HC at a mid-major or as an AC at a P5. If the latter, where do you think he might end up?
If Sanchez doesnât get the UVA gig, he will probably end up as an assistant at a P5 school and try to bring the UVA players that his new program most covets with him.
