I think the Monken window has passed anyway. Even if Elliott does flame out here Monken would be approaching 60 by the next hiring cycle, and he hasn’t revamped his offense enough for me to be confident that he’d successfully move away from the traditional triple option.

Jamey Chadwell or Brennan Marion version of the triple option = Hell yes bring that here.
Paul Johnson version of the triple option = Just put me out of my misery instead.
Have to have some semblance of a passing game in your offense.

Fthere are nuanced versions of it that can work but you’re absolutely right in today’s game got to be able to pass it at a respectable rate.
