I think the Monken window has passed anyway. Even if Elliott does flame out here Monken would be approaching 60 by the next hiring cycle, and he hasn’t revamped his offense enough for me to be confident that he’d successfully move away from the traditional triple option.
I want no part of the triple option. Like chopping off your programs left leg
Jamey Chadwell or Brennan Marion version of the triple option = Hell yes bring that here.
Paul Johnson version of the triple option = Just put me out of my misery instead.
Have to have some semblance of a passing game in your offense.
Fair enough. When i hear triple option I jump to Paul Johnson.
Fthere are nuanced versions of it that can work but you’re absolutely right in today’s game got to be able to pass it at a respectable rate.
I have a comparison that relates it to the blocker mover but for the sake of the rest of the board I’m not about to bring that into the football thread lol.
Heh appreciate that. Never thought about it but I can see the parallel
Michigan State struggling with FAU in Jonathan Smith’s first game as head coach. 16-10 Spartans in the 4th, Aiden Chiles the blue chip QB who transferred over from Oregon State hasn’t looked good.
Jeremiah Smith is the next great Ohio State WR. Looks like a man amongst boys against Akron.
Florida.
@UVApride7 might have been right
I was trying to tell you that Florida stinks
ODU up 19-16 in Williams-Brice with 10 mins left. Beamer’s boys are three-TD favorites.
Makes this “funny” tweet funnier.
Really thought ODU should’ve went for it there.
Ok maybe I was wrong. ODU gets the stop and are gonna get the ball back
Dammit, ODU throws a pick. South Carolina is gonna survive.
ND is locked in a battle with A&M
Abilene Christian has the ball with 2 mins left and is only down 3 to Texas Tech. 42-45…
ND takes a 20-13 lead over A&M with a little under two minutes left.
I feel weird rooting for Leonard.
Imagine anyone being so villainous as to want to play for Duke and Notre Dame!
UCLA engaging in some solid vintage Pac12 after dark (but also bright day light in Hawaii)
Man, ND game is gonna be tough. They look great on both lines.
