Watching Leon Bond play tonight might have put me over the edge re: how poorly the last few seasons were managed.
We could have had Reece, Eli, Leon, Dunn, and Minor just running up and down the floor last year. Imagine the press that team could have run. Imagine the fun!!!
Instead we got a bazillion minutes of Rohde, Harris and Murray.
Iām sorry, I just spent the last couple of days combing an 18-point half and am a little grumpy.

Leon has a 95 offensive rating in their 4 games against any decent competition (all kenpom B games, not even A). Much was the story last year with us. He feasts on bad teams. I think heās right where he should be where he can excel. And maybe his game expands. But he wasnāt going go to help us last year or this year against the teams where we need help. Maybe his junior and senior year he would have.

You right you right we had to preserve those really valuable Andrew Rodhe minutes last year. Had to make sure he got as much run as possible so we could drop 42 against CSU
Does he turn us into a title contender last year or this? No probably not. But I canāt help but what these abominations of season and think that mayyyyybe we could have used a bit more dynamism and experimentation. Like the man didnāt have the green light to shoot threes for christs sake

Had to be a tough one to review Cuts - but thatās why you make the big bucks at LRA. I am assuming it would have been a more enjoyable review/breakdown if we had Igor, Shedrick, Troudt, Bond, and Elijah. But thatās just a guessā¦

Northern Iowa must be doing something interesting on offense. Their center is right at the top of their team in assist percentage and their wing-sized starters (Anderson and Bond) are #7 and #8 their 9-man rotation by 3PA/100 possessions. A cursory watch of a YouTube video on Ben Jacobsonās offense says 5-out with the center facilitating from the perimeter, but I have not watched them this year. But anytime you lead the nation in effective FG%, you have my attention.
