šŸ€ Outside the ACC - 2024 Season

The concern with Moser is he’s never had a winning conference record at Oklahoma. We’ll see if that changes this year, but I don’t love going after a power conference coach who hasn’t gotten to a winning record

Even at Loyola, he was only .500 in conference.

In that respect, Rhoades has been pretty phenomenal everywhere he’s been. We’ll see w/r/t Penn state this year

I think they’re projected to go 7-11 on T-Rank, the SEC is quite a strong conference. SMU is ranked 10 spots below them on T-Rank and they’re projected to go 12-8 in the ACC.

Honestly that might be part of my pitch for a coach to leave one of those conferences. The NCAAT selection committee seems to hate teams that are close to .500 in conference play, no matter how strong the conference is, so there’s a point where the depth of the conference ends up being bad for the teams closer to the bubble.

Anybody see this thing where Pitino will now be boycotting handshake lines? That guy is amazing …

I’m torn. I do enjoy the handshake line drama, but they are a bit silly when you think about it.

Haha… his son responded with this…

That’s hilarious. I saw that gif but had no idea it was his son! Ha ha!

Yeah, if I remember correctly, it seems like that started later when the ACC and some other conferences made a visible push to try and have teams demonstrate sportsmanship.

I saw some writer say that maybe he was scarred by an experience in Greece

Here’s what to if you’re the opposite coach (starring Jimmy Patsos)

Fresh- I’m worried. This is what we call Alzheimer’s. As someone who didn’t get to play a lot, I have a vivid memory of this because I would see a lot of the other players and coaches I knew.

We did a handshake line after every single game. There were a couple of court storming incidents which never resulted in handshake lines, but we did it every time.

No chance we went all the way down the line. I have video proof

Edit: I think we just said good game to the guys we knew and most always the coaches for sure

Literally every game. You blocked it out for some reason. Handshake line every game.

I am choosing to believe the whole rest of the team was in the formal handshake line while @DFresh11 was wandering around putting up an extra shot or two and dapping up courtside fans.
