Prompt: make an AI version of the Plumlees but more dislikable

Also, a very Haney-specific gripe: that Fresh Coast Hoops guy got himself a sideline seat and STILL does his crazy herky jerky camera style.

Nobody would ask that guy to film Cry, Cry Again, I’ll tell you that

So he went through the process in 23 wasn’t drafted played another yr in Israel and now he’s parachuting into Green Bay to play?

Like he got the process backwards.

Maybe Gottlieb will give him a spot on his radio show

Wtf is Gottleib doing? Also, he’s 23 and already played in the Israeli pro league. Why doesn’t he keep playing in it or another pro league elsewhere so he could be paid? I really doubt he’s getting much of anything from Green Bay.

Maybe he’s trying to avoid mandatory conscription by going to school?

It is a puzzler. Gotta be some mix of

Wanted to see a Packers playoff game

Gottlieb is offering him a lot of money

I mean I guess he could really want a US college education and degree. But I can’t imagine Wisconsin Green Bay has any name brand value or recognition in Israel, not any more than a local reputable university. Or maybe this is the first step in a long plan to get permanent legal immigration status in the US. I have no idea.

Unrelated to this situation but I would guess revenue sharing leads to more players coming from Euro pro leagues. The pay is better. Assume there won’t be the same legal hurdles as with ā€œNILā€.

Quick google…this guy doesn’t seem to be a big time prospect. Horizon league is about right for him. It’s just his age and pro experience that makes it wild.

And he did go 2-for-10 in his first game.

I actually don’t think this is a huge problem. Apples and not-apples, but college tennis already has an international player concentration, including players with some pro-level accomplishments. To a lesser extent, soccer does too. As long as someone is a student in good standing and hasn’t exhausted their NCAA eligibility, this seems fine to me.

It is kinda funny that we are 16 years out from Brandon Jennings skipping college for Italy, and instead of US HS grads going abroad to go pro, we get international pros coming stateside to go to college.

Greg Gard suddenly turning into offensive genius is pretty good:

Jonathan Blackwell with 32 pts 8 rebounds 5 assists. His only power 5 offer was Wisconsin and he was an Austin Williford level recruit. I remember when we played them last year I was thinking ā€œHow is this random freshman 3 star playing more confident and fearless than Reece?ā€

I would like to purchase AWilly futures…I think he’s gonna develop into a power conference starter-type of player. I might be overindexing on him being a dawg on defense during Peach Jam, but still.

Literally both times I watched PVI and STAB play each other, Austin Williford completely outclassed Isaiah Abraham. (and also looked better than that Caden Diggs kid who ended up at ODU when they played Bullis)

The real shame is AWilly not growing another 2-3" like everyone thought he would. That having been said, it forced him to work on his perimeter game and ball-handling which is paying dividends now.

Kentucky Florida game is fun. Would kill for Amari Williams on our team right now.
