I love this thread, by the way. Makes me think back to all of the college basketball I’ve watched over the years. So many great sports moments…
Ribock was on the South Carolina team with Roche, Riker, and Owens. Dirty Dan Wells was on the N C State team, with Vann Williford, Ed Leftwich, and Paul Coder, that beat those Gamecocks in the '70 ACCT championship game depriving them of an NCAA bid. I believe they were ranked in the Top 10 at the time. Meagher was part of the Duke team that featured Johnny Dawkins, Mark Alarie, Dave Henderson, and Jay Bilas. All three were thought of, by some, as enforcers.
Musa Jallow. Isaac Copeland
I remember Ribok and Wells vaguely now that you told me. Im embarrassed to not know who Meagher was for sure because the rest of that Duke team was like household names.I do remember him though and i remember back in those days there were always several teams that had enforcers. We have had a few and we need one bad on today’s team. I do remember several really great teams that couldn’t go to the NCAA because of the one team rule
