Do our CBs travel? I thought Rud ran a field/boundary system for the CBs.
Thatās not how those schemes work. I donāt think Jackson is assigned the best WR. The offense just lines up to attack his side.
It is, and Jackson is more often than not the CB that opposing teams are picking for their #1 WR. So heās covering their best guy a majority of the time.
Hmmā¦I think Iām wrong. Iāll have to look at some film to be sure, but the depth chart lists a RC and LC, so I think our corners stay on the same side of the field regardless of which hash the ballās on or where individual WRs are lined up.
So whatās odd to me is that Jacksonās the RC and usually the LC gets thrown to more by right handed QBs. But of course, some offenses just like their best WRs to line up at the X position and thatās generally the furthest left WR, facing the RC.
Anyway, I havenāt paid close enough attention to our defensive play to add any value to the discussion. Thanks to you guys who have and do.
