Marial kinda lives near the edge of that exception, depending on how you want to draw the line. He left because he would have had a small role here (was getting crowded out that year by Ty, Kyle, Dre, and Hall). Probably would have played <20 mpg for us, and it was his last year so he wanted to be 30+.
So even though he stayed in P5 it was still a step down to someplace where he could elevate from rotation player to star.
Kyle gave a shout out to him in his recruiting tweet so I guess they would take him.
From a purely “let’s win” perspective, Marial would be a great addition.
Seems like a guy who would like to compete for a share of a million dollars plus purse…
