Ritchie McKay is an offensive mastermind, he’s regularly got a top-50 2P% while often starting a pair of sub-6ft guards.

Yeah he makes these micro lineups work every year, nobody above 6’7 in their starting five. This might be his best team yet, they can really shoot it and Cleveland is averaging a near triple double. They’re #1 in the country in eFG% right now.

I actually think Decker would be somewhat attainable if he hit the open market, elite shooter but not a great athlete or someone who beats defenses off the dribble consistently. Kelsey would probably have interest but I have my doubts about Kentucky.

Kentucky Sucks. Jaland Lowe is still out ā€œindefinitelyā€. He pulls a Bliss and comes to UVA with 2 years left? Houston kid, cmon Aldrich

Not sure I want him that bad? Not sure that shoulder is getting better and his 3 point shooting scares me. He does other things well, but I don’t see him as a great fit for Odom’s offense.

Odom seems to be wanting of a guard who is athletic and play making even if they aren’t a shooter. KJ Lewis, taking a swing at Dylan Mingo, etc. You need someone to set up the shooters

Freitag with 31 pts and 4-9 from 3. Definitely going back to Power 5 after this season.

Gus Yalden is such an elite and fun offensive player man. He’s Thijs De Ridder with 40 more pounds, maybe not as athletic, but also longer wing span and better passer.

edit: announcers just said Yalden is 280lbs and yet he hit a pump fake and pretty quick drive to the rim

Sam Lewis

Mouhammed Sylla

Hannes Steinbach

That one seems realistic and also good for what odom wants.

It’s very early but my hot take is that Sam Lewis is an all ACC and potential NBA draft pick by end of next year. The 3 he made off the bounce against Marshall got my attention. Guard skillset at 6’7 with elite 3 point shooting is really intriguing. I’m sure Dave will shoot this down in 3 seconds but I haven’t tossed out a hot take in a while and this feels good.

Can Bennett do some personal coaching with his new free time to turn him into one of his 3-and-D robots? The size and shooting are already there, he just needs to work on the defense and then he would be a legit NBA prospect.

Bet TB would’ve been all over Sam Lewis in the portal

Getting first round draft buzz, right?

ESPN’s latest mock draft has him going 21st to the Spurs.

NBA positional size… NBA positional shooting… can shoot off the dribble some… has the size to guard 2s and 3s and in a pinch 1s and 4s… has a chance.

Damnit

Lewis needs to improve his ball handling. Not confident dribbling the ball and makes him hesitant to attack the basket. Defenders can crowd him at the 3pt line without fear.

When Arizona State fires Bobby Hurley we should probably go for this kid. Was playing for Real Madrid youth team last year
