6-1 NCST on a wild pitch. Alex Markus is five pitches in and hasn’t located a single one of them.
6-2 NCST in he top of the 6th on a Ford two out RBI double.
Still 6-2 NCST through 7, bats have been quiet.
Defense and walks have hurt us this season as far as keeping games like this close.
Also grounding into double plays.
After the season we are having its imperative that we keep BOC away from the Tides Inn
7-2 NCST in the bottom of the 8th, bases loaded fielder’s choice scores a run.
Then next pitch is a base hit to LF. 8-2 NCST.
NCST wins 9-2 to take game two of the series and improve to 20-11 (6-5) on the season. UVA falls to 17-12 (7-7).
We’ll see you tomorrow 3 PM EST for the rubber match.
Not to be over dramatic but tomorrow may be the most important game of the season. Until the next one atleast…
Agree. Big one here in a few minutes. Hoping we find something today and things start clicking. It’s time to turn the corner and get hot.
I’ll be at the FSU series in Tallahassee (4/18-4/19) if anyone is going to be up there let me know. Tough outfit to plan for me…. May opt out and just wear a Lincoln County High School throwback jersey for @DFresh11
Pro move right there Hav
HOOS up 3-0 in the top of the 1st after a Becker RBI double and a Henry Ford two-run bomb.
3-2 HOOS bottom of the 1st, NCST two-run HR.
4-2 HOOS in the top of the 2nd, Teel with a two out RBI single to score Chone James.
5-2 HOOS in the top of the 6th on a little league play. Had 2nd and 3rd with one out, Nunnallee hits a chopper to short, Ference takes off from 2nd but Godbout stays at 3rd so Ference is caught in a rundown, Ference is tagged out, then Nunnallee takes off for 2nd which forces a throw that ends up in RF and scores Godbout. Caught a break in the field.
6-2 HOOS as Sunshine with an RBI base hit that scores Nunnallee in the next AB. He’s thrown out trying to go for 2nd to end the frame.
Glad that he’s starting to hit because he is a below average 3B (.860 FLD%!!!) and makes a helluva lot of boneheaded baserunning decisions.
