I’ve noticed there seems to be less confidence in Reece coming back. Did I miss intel there or is this just deduction about likely losing Armaan and Shedrick and fearing the worst?

We probably lose 6 players. Franklin is not coming back. Why would Shedrick come back to play for this coaching staff after they decided to bench him half the year? So it can happen again next year? No reason Reece comes back with his core rotation/friends gone on a depleted roster. Doubtful we are in tourney contention next year.

- Traudt transfers to Creighton. Within a few weeks, breaks up with girlfriend;
- Traudt stays. Turns out to be Kody Stattmann 2.0.

Nothing new same. Conversation just picking up where it left off. So either UVa is screwed and the athletic department is shutting down. Or I have no idea what the alternative narrative is that is being batted around on here.

Honestly this seems to be one of the stranger themes I’ve seen pop up in the last few days and it feels more rooted in fear and pessimism than fact. Reece is gonna come down to who is in his ear last and his own gut.

Probably because he hadn’t yet decided or communicated to staff that he was going to transfer. Would be weird to do so during the season.
A lot of players graduate with their undergraduate degree with 1 year of basketball eligibility remaining and don’t get honored on Senior Day.
One weird thing: Jeff White’s piece the week before Senior Day said Kadin was being honored and then after like 24 hrs his name got taken out. What was up with that? UVa usually pretty good at not messing up the comms game. Unless there were plans and then they changed …

I’m trying to think of a 4 year player at UVA ever doing this.
Maybe we are talking about two different things. I’m saying those guys don’t get honored on Senior Day during their 3rd year playing, because the presumption is that they will return to play their fourth year. They get honored their fourth year Senior Day.
Shedrick redshirted his first year, played his next 3. He’s a junior (basketball-wise).
