I like seeing the chart, I donā€™t understand the trapezoid heā€™s trying to draw. This chart paints the story of these two variables having a correlation of near zero, no?

I agree that it looks like a null correlation. Maybe the point is that the highest net ratings are among teams of average pace ā€¦ but most teams are close to the average pace, so you also find the lowest net ratings in that range (e.g., Central Michigan University and North Carolina A&T).

Iā€™m sure a sprained ankle in a scrimmage two days before the tournament would be popular.

As a major conference team, our layoff isnā€™t that long. Some of the small conference tournaments are earlier so they can have a long layoff. Iā€™m pretty sure St Maryā€™s has played a random tuneup game between the WCC tournament and the NCAA tournament on occasion.

Itā€™s sloppy statistics and lazy marketing.
My guess is that they needed a generic shape that would allow for Houston and UConn to be inside (or inside-ish).

Couldnā€™t agree more. Makes me miss Jack Salt.

In the Northeastern game, there were a couple of times that we set a pick and bodies went crashing to the floor. I canā€™t remember who set the pick, though. Does anyone remember? I think either Leon was setting the pick, or running off it.

Which of these is the most prevalent issue?

  • Additional 3pt shooting outside McKneely and Groves
  • Having a playable center who can rebound, set screens, and provide inside scoring
  • Having a consistent 2nd and 3rd playmaker offensively. Whether it be assists or getting a much needed bucket
  • Finding that secondary perimeter defender
  • Inexperience in general, in scheme, and with each other

Should UVA burn Anthony Robinsonā€™s redshirt?

  • Yes. We need his size and weight and athleticism in our rotation if Buchanan and Minor are not consistent or impactful. Our current struggles cannot be overcome with our current front court
  • No. Roll with the front court and find different ways schematically to overcome the hurdles while also hoping Buchanan and Minor emerge and Dunn/Groves get rotations down better.
