Consensus is Stanford has #1 2026 recruiting class, but UVA’s is strong. Here’s an article on the most recent signing which includes an overview of the rest of the 2026 class and the rest of the squad moving forward.
The 2025 class is the one coming in next year. Cal has the best class — it’s loaded but they lost the No. 1 recruit to Indiana. Tennessee’s class for 2026 is loaded, too.
Any possibility of reclassing? She turned 18 in January. By the 2027 season, she’ll be a 20 year old Freshman.
If you look at the points by class breakdown from NCAA’s, UVA still has the most points returning.
Stanford was second, with Huske being the obvious star.
The current first year class had the most points returning, and there are a few that will hopefully take a good leap next year like Hartman and Christopherson.
Anna Moesch had a stellar year.
As mentioned above, Mintenko is going to be really good, too.
I’m no expert, but I think overall development of a deep bench is going to fill the Walsh shoes even if Curzan is the main Superstar.
My guess is Lana Pudar.
Interesting - seems like a solid butterflier, but “MASSIVE”?
I’m not a Bosnian insider though - you probably know more ![]()
She’s won four junior world championships in the 100 and 200 fly.
A down year, but yeah, she’s really good.
What you’re hoping for is that she gets to this again:
yeah, that’s good…thanks
I saw that, too. Great article - thanks.
This one is huge.
Curtis just went 53.01 in the 100 free (LCM) to break the Italian record. That’s 0.03 faster than Gretchen Walsh’s PB. She also set the Italian record in the 50 free at 24.43.

Ficken is a sprinter transfer from Auburn. She’s best at 100 free.
Greenwaldt is pure speed — having set the D-II 50 free record on the same day she became an all-American high-jumper. Her 50 would have been a D-I scoring time this year.
The two of them will be a good Maxine Parker replacement.
Breaking her own 100 Fly record in Prelims was amazing.
Smashing that in Finals again for a 54.60 was downright jaw-dropping.
First woman ever to break 55.00 and just crushed it - with a looooong turn and finish…
We dropping bags in swimming too!

Todd DeSorbo has made Charlottesville a swimming Mecca.
Sprint free and breaststroke! That’s what Virginia does!
(And fly and back, too!)
