Another good defensive possession, and it doesn’t matter because we give up another offensive rebound.

BB ball watching AGAIN

Not just on Blake there. Look where Saunders was on the shot (out of frame). And the guards don’t dig down hard enough.

Holy fuck man. Just can’t get out of our own way.

Maybe we should try going back to how we had Jack Salt do it… just tip all rebounds backwards. Because what we’re doing currently ain’t working.

Is the court really slippery? There’s a lot of dudes just randomly falling down or slipping.

I don’t enjoy watching this team play basketball.

Same note too

Cal shooting a very high % when the shot clock is about to expire

Held out as long as I could. Night everyone lmao.

Yeah this isn’t good basketball. Cal is trash, one of the worst P4 teams defensively this year and we’re still shooting below 40% from the floor. Just feels like we have no juice.

Seriously, this just isn’t fun basketball to watch. It’s a slog.

Also fun that we’re having another ā€œWhere’s McKneely?ā€ game. He’s doing nothing on the offensive end and on the defensive end he’s just sadly running around on late close outs. Bleh.

Not giving him bail but he’s being played quite physically aka held.

We are bad - the sum of the parts is much worse than the individual talent we have. That being said, I’d make keeping Rohde as our PG for next year a priority. Him, Cofie, Saunders, and Sharma make a nice core. Add Elijah, and it’s a potentially excellent team.I know I’ll get sh*t for this, but I really think BB makes a huge jump next year - we’ll see how that ages.

to which team?

Ha ha :joy: That’s the problem.

I’m enjoying Rohde being among the better players on the team - it’s fun. But that says more about the team and where we’re at than anything. Looking at actually good teams in college basketball, they aren’t starting Andrew Rohdes in one of their guard slots.

We’ve stared at these dudes for forever and so we’re convinced there’s some hidden gems here, but really this roster isn’t that good and the guard play is straight up mediocre. I’m fine with all the guards leaving besides Sharma and maybe Elijah just because I personally like them and want to see if there’s anything there, but I’m losing zero sleep over anybody else departing. Even McKneely (I don’t care about basketball reasons, I just want him to graduate from UVA so hope he does before he leaves).

Nice first possession on defense, smh.
